UPDATE....UPDATE....UPDATE
Pleasant View Township will be oiling roads on Tuesday, June 23rd and Wednesday, June 24th.

Tueaday Jine 23rd we will be oiling Blue Mound Road east to Baker Road.

Wednesday June 24th we will be oiling Boody Road starting at Andrews Road going south.

Oiling will begin at 6 am weather permitting. Please avoid these roads during oiling and know that after oiling the roads will have loose gravel on them so drive carefully. Watch facebook for any updates or changes.

Pleasant View Township will be oiling roads on Thursday, June 18th and Tuesday, June 23rd.

Thursday June 18th we will be oiling Blue Mound Road east to Baker Road.

Tuesday June 23rd we will be oiling Boody Road starting at Andrews Road going south.

The Macon County Health Department and the Macon Mosquito Abatement District are teaming up to host a tire recycling event for Macon County residents!

Old tires collect standing water and become the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes — so let’s work together to keep our community cleaner and healthier. 🦟💪

⏰ 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
📍 4170 N. Bearsdale Rd., Decatur, IL

✅ ACCEPTED:
• Up to 10 rimless passenger tires per household

❌ NOT ACCEPTED:
• Lawnmower tires
• Motorcycle tires
• Semi-truck tires
• Tractor tires
• Tires from commercial tire shops

⚠️ PLEASE BRING 2 FORMS OF PROOF OF RESIDENCY!
Examples include a driver’s license and a utility bill

🚧 DROP-OFF INSTRUCTIONS:
The Macon Mosquito Abatement District is now located at the corner of Rt. 121 and N. Bearsdale Rd.

➡️ To keep traffic moving smoothly:
• Enter from the SOUTH on N. Bearsdale Rd.
• DO NOT enter from Rt. 121
• Use Boiling Springs Rd. from Rt. 121 or Pershing Rd. from N. Wyckles Rd.

Thank You to Highway Commissioner Jeff Reed for organizing today. Alice Reed for the help with paperwork and organizing for the event. Things looked a little different this year for us all so thank you for your patience, it went great. We would like to extend a very big Thank You to all the volunteers who showed up today to work we couldn't do it without you.

Tomorrow's the day for town clean up. We will be there rain or shine. Please do not bring anything today or before 8 am tommorrow morning. Reminder we now will be accepting paint thanks to Blue Mound Hardware it must have label and no spray paint. Do not forgot we are in a new location 189 N West St. We look forward to seeing you.

If you have any questions, please call out to Blue Mound Hardware and talk to Autumn. Blue Mound Hardware also collects paint during normal business hours if you cannot make it on cleanup day. If you have garage, attic or basement to clean out now's the time we are almost two weeks away from town cleanup day. If you get it to us our great volunteers will take care of it from there. Please do not bring anything the night before or before 8 am the morning of the event. Make note of the new location this year 189 N West St. We are looking forward to seeing everyone this year
