The 2026 Blue Earth City Deer Hunt is taking applications for this archery season. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, must attend a proficiency test session. No walk-ins.

Applications due by August 17th with the included $15 application fee. Online copy of the form is available with the link below. Physical copy of the application can be obtained from City Hall in Blue Earth.

We would like to inform the community of the upcoming mock prom crash taking place at Blue Earth Area High School on Wednesday, April 22 at 1:00 p.m.

This educational event will involve local emergency responders, including area ambulance services, fire department, police, and the Sheriff’s Department, along with a Mayo 1 helicopter landing onsite as part of the simulation.

During this time, community members in the area may notice emergency vehicles, flashing lights, sirens, and helicopter activity. Please be aware that this is only a planned training exercise designed to help educate students and prepare emergency personnel for real-life situations.
