2024 Land Development Trade Partner of the Year!

Rock Work Inc., Drilling and Blasting is proud to announce that we have been honored as the Land Development Trade Partner of the Year by Pulte Group’s North East Division, which stands as the third largest homebuilder in the United States!

Rock Work Inc. was honored with this award for its significant contribution to a large residential project in Morris County, New Jersey. In early 2023, Rock Work Inc. played a crucial role in securing Final Subdivision approvals amidst challenges from neighboring property owners who sought to halt the project due to concerns about blasting. Matt Ryan, who served as an expert witness, addressed numerous inquiries from residents, Council Members, and the Mayor for nearly four hours. By the conclusion of the meeting, the project received unanimous approval from both the Mayor and Council Members, with no restrictions placed on blasting activities!

In 2024, construction officially kicked off as Rock Work Inc. took on the ambitious project of removing a granite mountainside. The team executed cuts exceeding 40 feet to clear the space needed for new homes and a four-tiered retaining wall. Impressively, all of this work took place right next to residential properties and an active four-lane highway, and it was completed without any incidents!

A couple of our drills working in an existing roadway. Closely spaced holes are bing drilled in the 20ft deep trench excavation to help expedite mechanical removal of the rock.

Drilling and Blasting required for a major PENNDOT highway expansion project in the Philadelphia, PA Area. 30FT rock embankments were blasted for the new road alignment. All blasting was completed with ZERO rock on the roadway!

500 KV power lines? No problem……

Recently completed drilling and blasting a sanitary sewer easement that went under 500 KV power lines coming directly off the local Nuclear power plant.

With only 17 feet of vertical working clearance, our Sandvik DC302R sure came in handy with its short feed that allowed us to drill the blastholes safely under the wires.

Drilling and blasting completed in the power company’s easement safely and without incident.
