4-H members, are you thinking about your dream job? Or perhaps about becoming a Tennessee Volunteer? Then you should join the Sullivan County 4-H Next Chapter program!

Through Next Chapter 4-H members from 8th-12th grade will be able to explore career options, develop a better understanding of yourself, and earn money towards your education at the University of Tennessee Knoxville!

Our very own Sullivan County 4-H member, James Sanchez, attended the 2026 Tennessee 4-H STEM camp at the Clyde M.York 4-H center in Crossville TN.

James represented Sullivan County on the state level learning about fundamentals of engineering, mathematical calculations, and how to solve real world agricultural problems.

Earlier this summer, Grayce, Ruby, and Daphne Hunigan attended the UTK Animal Science Livestock Judging Camp!

The girls enjoyed learning from experts at the University of Tennessee as they sharpened their skills in livestock judging, sorting classes, and preparing oral reasons.

We are proud of the skills these young ladies developed and the knowledge they demonstrated in livestock! Keep up the great work, girls!

Calling all Tennessee 4-H youth in grades 6–8 (as of January 1, 2026)! Join us for a fun, virtual opportunity to explore your creativity and build new skills through Creative Arts & Design, led by Dr. Lori Gallimore!

Whether you love creating, designing, or simply want to try something new, this project group is a great way to learn, get creative, and connect with other 4-H youth!

Calling all Tennessee 4-H youth in grades 4–12 (as of January 1, 2026)! Join us for a fun, virtual opportunity to learn about the fascinating world of insects and beekeeping, led by Lynne Middleton!

This project group will be beginner-friendly, with opportunities to work toward some intermediate-level outcomes along the way.

Last weekend, our three State 4-H Ambassadors — Mel Liebe, James Sanchez, and LB Cox — traveled to Knoxville for training at the Eastern Region 4-H Office!

Mel and James will serve as State 4-H Communication Ambassadors, helping share the story of Tennessee 4-H and highlighting all the amazing opportunities, programs, and experiences happening across our state.

LB will serve as a State 4-H Healthy Living Ambassador, educating others on a variety of ways to make healthy choices and improve their overall health and well-being.

Next Chapter is a college and career readiness program available to students in 8th-12th grade in all 95 Tennessee counties through Tennessee 4-H and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Whether your future includes college, a trade, military service, or entering the workforce, Next Chapter helps you build leadership, financial literacy, career readiness, and life skills through hands-on learning and self-paced activities.

- Open statewide
- Explore careers and future opportunities
- Gain valuable life and workforce skills
- Eligible participants can earn a $6,000 scholarship
