Did you know that rabbits can be raised for food, fiber, and fur? They are an incredibly versatile small livestock species! In addition to being exhibited in shows, rabbits can be sold within the pet industry and even provide excellent fertilizer for your garden.

We are excited to welcome some new residentsβ€”at least for the time beingβ€”as we showcase one of the more than 26 project areas available through Tennessee 4-H: Rabbits!

These fluffy little rabbits are just 8 weeks old and weigh approximately one pound each. They are purebred Netherland Dwarf rabbits from a local show exhibitor. Along with these new arrivals, we have also received a generous donation of show equipment to help support youth interested in learning more about rabbit projects.

If you have been considering raising rabbits or would simply like to learn more about this exciting project area, please contact Mr. Ethan at [email protected] or call our Extension Office for additional information.
