CPR isn’t just a medical skill. In a cardiac emergency, anyone can be the difference before professional help arrives.

Parents, caregivers, neighbors, coworkers and friends are often the true first responders. When more people are ready, more lives are saved. If you see a teen or adult collapse, call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest.

Working to protect, promote, and improve the health and well-being of all people in Tennessee.

Summer in Tennessee means more time outdoors — and more exposure to ticks and mosquitoes. As temperatures rise, it’s important to protect yourself and your family from vector-borne diseases such as West Nile virus, ehrlichiosis, and Rocky Mountain spotted fever.

Stay safe this season by:
☀️ Using EPA-approved insect repellent
☀️ Wearing long sleeves and light-colored clothing outdoors
☀️ Checking for ticks after spending time outside
☀️ Removing standing water around your home to help reduce mosquitoes

Prevention is one of the best ways to reduce the risk of tick and mosquito-borne illnesses this summer. Learn more: https://www.tn.gov/health/vector.html
