During National EMS Week, we celebrate and recognize the EMS providers who dedicate themselves to serving others every single day.

From critical emergencies in the middle of the night to community events, public education, and training future providers, EMS professionals are there whenever they are needed most. The work is demanding, the hours are long, and many sacrifices happen behind the scenes — but our providers continue to answer the call with compassion, professionalism, and commitment to their communities.

At Bloomsburg EMS we are proud to celebrate our EMS providers, along with all of the rest across the nation who work tirelessly both on the front lines and behind the scenes to care for our community.

Thank you to our providers and to the community members who continue to support EMS every day. We are honored to serve you.

This past Tuesday, Bloomsburg EMS was proud to take part in a mock crash event at Southern Columbia High School.

This important demonstration gave students a realistic look at the devastating consequences that can result from driving under the influence. Our hope is that by seeing how quickly lives can be changed, young drivers will make safe and responsible choices behind the wheel.
Driving impaired by alcohol or drugs puts not only the driver at risk, but passengers, other motorists, and pedestrians as well. One poor decision can lead to serious injuries, loss of life, and lasting impact on families and communities.

We want to thank Southern Columbia High School, Elysburg Fire Department, Elysburg Fire Department Emergency Medical Services, Catawissa Fire Company, Locust Township Police Department, Ralpho Township Police Department, and LVHN MedEvac for helping educate the next generation on the importance of safe driving. Please remember: never drive under the influence. Plan ahead, use a designated driver, or call for a safe ride home.

We want to send a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support our Health Fair on Saturday — we had an incredible turnout!
It was great seeing so many members of our community come together to learn, connect, and take steps toward better health.

We also want to thank all of our vendors, partners, and volunteers who helped make this event such a success. We couldn’t have done it without you!

We’re proud to serve such a supportive community and look forward to seeing you at future events.
