After 25 years of dedicated service, yesterday we recognized and celebrated the retirement of our Parking Enforcement Officer, Christine Miccio.

Christine has faithfully served our community with professionalism, patience, and commitment. Rain or shine, through busy days and long shifts, she helped keep our campus safe, accessible, and organized for everyone.

Please join us in congratulating Christine on a well-deserved retirement and thanking her for 25 years of service. We wish her many years of health, happiness, and new adventures in this next chapter.

Thank you for your service Christine, and enjoy your retirement!

🚗❄️ Clear the Snow before You Go ❄️🚗

We’re still seeing vehicles cruising around with a full winter coat of snow and ice on their roofs. While it might not seem like a big deal, that snow has a habit of sliding, flying, and turning into ice missiles for the drivers behind you.

🚨 Reminder: “Christine’s law”Under Pennsylvania law (Title 75 §3721), drivers have 24 hours after the end of a snow or ice event to remove accumulated snow and ice from their vehicle before driving on a highway…Regardless if it dislodges or not.

Before heading out, please take the extra minute to clear all snow and ice from your vehicle, including the roof. It helps keep everyone on the road safer, especially at higher speeds.

Thanks for doing your part and looking out for one another. Stay safe out there!

🛑 Don’t let scammers catch you off guard.

We’ve seen an increase in reports of scammers targeting utility customers across Pennsylvania through fake websites and high-pressure phone calls.

They often threaten to shut off your power within minutes unless you pay right away using digital apps or gift cards.

Stay safe and remember:

❌ We will never demand immediate payment through Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, cryptocurrency, or prepaid cards.
❌ We will never show up at your door to sell services or demand cash.
❌ If a call feels “off,” hang up and call us directly at 1-800-342-5775.

Help your neighbors stay safe—share this post to spread the word. 💡

Tonight our hearts are with the people who don’t get to stay home when the weather turns dangerous. While many of us are inside where it’s warm, there are men and women out in the wind, the ice, and the blowing snow — showing up because someone has to.
Police officers watching over quiet streets. Firefighters ready to respond in seconds. EMS crews answering calls that can’t wait. Grocery workers keeping shelves stocked so families can eat. Utility and line crews working high above frozen ground to keep lights and heat on. National Guard members standing by to help wherever they’re needed.
These aren’t just uniforms.
These are mothers, fathers, sons, daughters — people with families of their own who worry every time the phone rings or the weather gets worse.
Storms like this don’t just test the roads.
They test strength. Endurance. Commitment.
And every time, these workers step forward instead of stepping back.
So tonight, I’m saying a prayer for every hardworking person helping communities through this massive winter storm. For steady hands. For safe travels. For protection in the cold and dark hours. For warm homes waiting for them at the end of a long shift.
We see you.
We appreciate you.
We are grateful beyond words for the sacrifices you make when conditions are at their worst.
May you stay safe on every mile. ❄️🙏

Please don't take these people for granted.
Respect them and stay home, let them do their jobs and protect those in need of help.
Staying home unless it is an emergency is the best way to stay safe and keep them safe.
