Does your registered 501c3 non profit organization need funding for services or programs designed for senior citizens, to combat youth delinquency, or provide assistance to low income residents of Normal Township?

Each year Normal Township provides funding for eligible organizations and our requests for funding proposals are now open!

Proposals will be voted on at the August 18th, 2026 general board meeting and dispersed at the end of August.

The maximum request level for an organization is $20,000 and Normal Township has a total of $40,000 available for fiscal year 2027.

or by bringing a paper copy to 304 E Mulberry, Normal, Illinois, 61761 during office hours Monday through Thursday 8 am - 4:30 pm (closed 12-1 for lunch)

Thank you WMBD for featuring the P.O.T.S. Program and the City of Bloomington Township and all of it's incredible participants.
We are thankful to our community partners AB Hatchery & Garden Center, Casey's Garden Shop and Florist, Jeffrey Alans, Growing Grounds Garden Center & Florist, Heartland Community College, and Wendell Niepagen Greenhouses and Garden Center that have chosen to make space for a "Big Blue Bin" so that the amazing people of Bloomington-Normal call recycle their horticulture pots and trays.
We are also grateful for the hard work of the incredibly hard work of our National Asian Pacific Center on Aging (NAPCA) employees working alongside us in this endeavor.

YOU are all the REAL heroes.

P.O.T.S, a program in Bloomington, has been collecting plastic pots from local businesses, cleaning them, and palleting them to be recycled since 2008, keeping 123 metric tons of horticulture waste…
