Kiwanis Club of Bloomington, Illinois

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time! Meetings adjourn no later than 1:00 p.m.

Bloomington Kiwanis is 120 members strong. A wide variety of employers and occupations are represented. The club meets every Monday at noon at Eastland Suites Hotel and Conference Center, 1801 Eastland Drive, Bloomington, Illinois 61704. Meetings consist of lunch, club announcements, and a speaker who presents a topic of local or national interest.

Camp Limberlost is our reason why we do what we do ⛺️ Thank you for every Kiwanis member that joined for lunch, volunteered at camp, and the whole community for supporting our Pancake Days, Mother's Day Flower Sale, or as a sponsor! We are proud of this signature service project and the impact it has had on local kids for over 90 years.

Bloomington Kiwanis welcomed Dr. Sheahon Zenger, Illinois Wesleyan University President for lunch today. We are proud to sponsor the IWU CKI club and have many alumni, fans, and proud supporters in our club!

This week Bloomington Kiwanis welcomed local author Kathi Davis, who shared stories from her book The Closest Exit May Be Behind You: Memoir of a Fearful Flight Attendant.

After spending 35 years with Delta Airlines, Kathi reflected on overcoming a lifelong fear of flying, the lessons she learned through travel and life, and the process to publish her story.

Members enjoyed Kathi’s heartfelt, humorous, and inspiring stories about courage, resilience, and personal growth. Thank you, Kathi, for a wonderful program!

Each summer, since 1931, Bloomington Kiwanis now sends 60 eight-to-ten year olds who have been identified as children who would benefit from a camping experience, to Camp Limberlost hosted at Timber Pointe Outdoor Center.
Campers participate in activities including kayaking, swimming, arts and crafts, fishing, and more. They leave camp with more confidence, lasting memories, and friendships with fellow campers and counselors. Thank you to everyone that supports our Pancake Days, Mother's Day Flower Sale, and other projects supporting this signature service project!
