Animal intakes are by appointment only, and all animal issues are addressed over the phone before intake. If you have a wildlife issue, please call our center at (812) 323-1313 and leave a voicemail if prompted. Limit handling, keep the animal contained, and do not feed wild animal patients until you have spoken with us. Please do not bring animals without an appointment, as there may not be staff available to receive you. Thank you for your cooperation.

With the increase in turtle rehab patients comes increased veterinary costs, specialized care, and habitat needs. To help improve our herptile rehab room setup, we’re hoping to add about 8 of these bar lights to better support our patients during recovery: https://a.co/d/09hLhIfj

WildCamp 2026 registration is now open!

This year we’ll offer a weekend day camp for kids in grades K–8 in June, plus a separate weekend camp for teens ages 14–17 in July. Campers will explore native Indiana wildlife, biology, and conservation, and discover how we can all work together to help our local ecosystems thrive.
