Come to the back room of the Crazy Horse for lunch on Friday for an information session about the primary election! The lunch starts at noon but please come early if you'd like to order food.

Penny Githens, member of our Election Board, will be coaching us on what we need to know these few days before the voter registration period ends, how to help your neighbors and friends vote early, how to get your friends absentee ballots, and everything else you think you know about voting that might have changed since the last election!

In the meantime, check your registration at indianavoters.in.gov

Friday (tomorrow!) at noon!

As we begin the celebration of Black History Month, please join us this Friday as we welcome author and Professor Audrey McCluskey!

Professor McCluskey will be discussing her writings, especially her latest, GIRLCHILD, Growing up Between the Pines and Palms in Jim Crow Georgia and Florida. She'll have books to purchase, and she's kindly offered to sign copies that you may have or that you may get at the lunch.

Audrey T McCluskey is Professor Emerita of African American and African Diaspora Studies at Indiana University-Bloomington where she directed the internationally acclaimed, Black Film Center & Archive among other administrative duties and taught both graduate and undergraduate courses on race, gender, education and film studies.

Well, we made it. It's 2026. The DWC wishes a very happy new year to all of you!

We're going to kick off the year with an information-packed lunch on the 9th that you won't want to miss. The topic is elections 2026 and primary prep. We'll cover candidate filing, new laws, changes in early voting, increasing the number of primary votes, and anything else you want to hear about. Our speakers are still being finalized, but we'll let you know who they are when we know.

The deets: Jan. 9th, Crazy Horse back room, 12:00 - 1:30. Please come early if you would like to place a lunch order.

It's the end of the week, it's been a struggle, you need a pick-me-up . . . come to the Crazy Horse on Friday (the 7th) to recharge with democrat friends. We'll also hear a little bit about our beloved Charlotte Zietlow who passed on Thursday, and hear from a strong candidate for Secretary of State, Blythe Potter.

Lunch is at noon. Come a little early to avoid the ordering rush.

Unstoppable. Fierce.

These are all words that describe the incredible woman that Charlotte Zietlow was. We
are deep in mourning today as the news of Charlotte’s passing makes its way through
the community she loved so much. We owe such a debt to her for paving the road we
travel on.

Much more will be coming, but please consider attending our lunch gathering this Friday
so we can all come together in our sorrow and remember the woman with the hat.
