Lunch was Hive-tastic today!

Our team and Board Governance Committee got to enjoy an amazing complimentary lunch from Hive after winning Bloomington B97 ’s Lunch On Us giveaway! Huge thanks to B97 and Hive for the delicious food, good vibes, and a fun chance to connect outside the office.

Val from our team stopped by and added an incredible framed piece featuring Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier to our silent auction benefiting the United Way of South Central Indiana.

This joins an amazing collection of memorabilia and collectibles celebrating Elvis Presley, Michael Jordan, Taylor Swift, Indiana Hoosiers football, the Indiana Pacers, and the Indianapolis Colts.

Every bid helps support the important work of United Way of South Central Indiana which invests in local programs and services that strengthen our community and support families throughout South Central Indiana.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

We are grateful for their courage, service, and dedication.

As we spend time with family and community this Memorial Day, we pause to reflect on and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We enjoyed participating in Lemonade Day University hosted by the Boys & Girls Club and spending time with the young entrepreneurs preparing to launch their lemonade stands across Monroe County on June 6.

Alongside My Sister's Closet, we had the opportunity to talk with students about the importance of community impact and philanthropy — encouraging them to think about how a portion of their business profits could support causes they care about, from helping families facing food insecurity to supporting animal welfare, environmental efforts, and children’s charities.

It was inspiring to see so much creativity, enthusiasm, and entrepreneurial spirit from the next generation of community leaders. We’re excited to see the positive impact these students will make through their Lemonade Day businesses.

Thank you to Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington for bringing together organizations and young leaders for such a meaningful experience.

Please join us in celebrating Chris Hazel, who recently marked 23 years with United Way of South Central Indiana!

As our Finance Director, Chris has played an essential role in helping United Way serve communities across South Central Indiana for more than two decades. From audits, monthly financials, and special events, her dedication to our mission has helped strengthen the work we do every day.

We are incredibly grateful for Chris and the many ways she supports our organization, our team, and our community.

Thank you, Chris, for 23 years of service, impact, and commitment to helping create stronger communities!

A big congratulations to our Communications Associate intern, Lily Blain, on graduating from O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University!

We loved having Lily as part of the United Way of South Central Indiana team. From helping tell community stories to supporting events and outreach, she brought creativity, positivity, and so much heart to our work.

We’re grateful for all she contributed during her time with us and can’t wait to see what’s ahead for her in this next chapter.

Congrats, Lily — we’re cheering you on! And we miss you something fierce.
