If you receive mail from our office addressed to a voter that no longer resides at your home, please let us know!

Just write on the envelope "NO LONGER LIVES AT ADDRESS" and place the piece of mail back in your mailbox. The USPS will then mark the mail as undeliverable and return it back to us at no cost to you.

This helps ensure that our voter list is accurate and up to date with the most current information. Once our office receives the returned mail, the voter is then removed from our list and will no longer be able to vote in the City of Bloomington.

Per Illinois election statute, our office will soon be mailing registered voters in the City of Bloomington who are not currently on our Permanent Vote by Mail roster, and have not opted out of receiving such notice, an application to be placed on our Permanent Vote by Mail roster. This is done every 2 years, during General Election cycles. There will be 3 options in which you may apply for:

Option #1: Opt out of receiving any future notices of Permanent Vote by Mail.

Option #2: You wish to be placed on our Permanent Vote by Mail roster and only receive ballots that do NOT require a party designation. These are typically General Elections. You will NOT be mailed a ballot during a Primary Election.

Option #3: You wish to be placed on our Permanent Vote by Mail roster and receive a Vote by Mail ballot in all upcoming and future elections. This option requires you to select a party in order to participate in a Primary Election.

Whichever option you may choose, please respond and send this application back to us. Doing so will decrease the amount of future mailings, therefore saving taxpayer money. If you do not wish to participate in Permanent Vote by Mail, you can still vote in person during Early Voting as well as at your Poll on Election Day.
