☀️ It’s summertime, and we are excited to start welcoming new employees who will be joining us in August!

Today, we’re welcoming Amy Beirne, who will be working at Sheridan Elementary as an LBS1 (Special Education) teacher! Amy brings a wealth of experience to the position, having worked at High Road School for the past ten years. She started as a paraprofessional in 2016, earned her MS in Special Education from Grand Canyon University, and has been teaching since 2018.

Amy is excited to work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to help students grow and is looking forward to getting to know her students and working with amazing colleagues this year.

In her free time, Amy loves to read, bake, garden, and play board games and cards 🧁📚♣️. Her favorite activities include snorkeling and walking the beach in search of seashells 🐚🌊.

Welcome to the D87 family, Amy!

Hoy damos la bienvenida a Amy Beirne, quien trabajará en la Escuela Primaria Sheridan como maestra de LBS1 (Educación Especial). Amy aporta una gran experiencia al puesto, tras haber trabajado en High Road School durante los últimos diez años. Comenzó como asistente educativa (paraprofesional) en 2016, obtuvo su maestría en Educación Especial en la Universidad Grand Canyon y ejerce como maestra desde 2018.

Our D87 Promise Council schools were proud to join this meaningful event, and we want to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support this important initiative and help make a positive impact on the lives of kids in our community! 👟✨

🎉 Shoutout to the BHS Raider Reps!
Last Friday, 15 BHS Raider Reps volunteered to kick off their summer by attending a special training at the ROE (Regional Office of Education)! 💪
🌟 The focus? Stand for Courage, a new anti-bullying initiative designed to recognize and celebrate upstanders who help make BHS a safe and welcoming place for everyone. What’s even cooler? The Raider Reps themselves will be leading the rollout of this program next year! 🙌
They spent the day planning, strategizing, and brainstorming ways to create a positive culture at BHS, and capped it off by sharing their plans and ideas with Principal Moore.

Hats off to these Raider Reps for stepping up as leaders and changemakers! 💜💛💜💛 👏

All children 18 and under can receive FREE meals at locations throughout Bloomington this summer.
