Illinois House Republican lawmakers introduced a bill for a 6 month gas sales tax pause. This is to give relief to Illinois drivers as the price of gas rises over $4 a gallon because of the war in Iran.

Our State Senator Sally Turner has recognized these challenges that will be placed on businesses and financial institutions with this legislation.
Once again the Democrats of Illinois have caused more problems rather than solving any.

I know a lot of people are talking about the Interchange Fee Prohibition Act right now.

When this legislation came before the Senate, I voted NO because of concerns about how it could impact everyday transactions, create confusion at checkout, and potentially affect tipped workers and small businesses.

Illinois needs policies that solve problems, not create new ones. I will continue to keep a close eye on the ongoing court case and what it means for the law’s implementation.

Lets be reminded how much has been accomplished! No tax on overtime is huge benefit to working Americans. We will see our economy growing and growing in the months ahead and hard working Americans will not be penalized when they take advantage of overtime work. Throw in the deals that are bringing peace in the Middle East and there is every reason for excitement about the future of America!

The sole purpose of creating a "Sanctuary State" was to draw bodies into Democratic strongholds so that census counts would create more Democratic controlled districts. Illinois can't maintain the year after year increase in spending levels. Poor management has placed Illinois in peril as the piper must always be paid.

"Since 2020, the state has gotten $15.6 billion in federal aid related to the COVID-19 pandemic. While that funding was temporary, Illinois has permanently increased what it spends."

Increases funded by federal COVID aid have been made permanent, causing a fiscal problem.
