🚨 Traffic Alert – Road Closure 🚨

Bloomingdale Fire Department is currently on scene of an overturned semi-truck on Jimmy Deloach Parkway roundabout, northbound from I-16.

🚧 Roadway is closed at this time.

Please avoid the area and use an alternate route while crews work to safely clear the scene.

Bloomingdale Fire Department – Public Notice 🔥

Effective April 22, 2026, the Georgia Forestry Commission has issued a temporary burn ban for 91 counties, including Chatham County, due to extreme drought conditions and increased wildfire activity.

Key Points:
•All outdoor burning is prohibited, including yard debris, agricultural burns, and land clearing.
•No burn permits will be issued during this period.
•The ban is in effect through May 22, 2026, at 11:59 PM, unless extended.

Residents are urged to comply with this order to help prevent wildfires and protect life and property.🧯

Bloomingdale Fire Department, alongside our partner agencies, Port Wentworth Fire Department and Emergency Management Agency, Garden City Fire Rescue, Chatham Emergency Management Agency, came together for a multi-department training in preparation for the upcoming Rock the Country Concert at Ottawa Farms on May 29–30.

With large crowds expected, this coordinated training ensures all responding agencies are aligned, prepared, and ready to provide a safe environment for our community and visitors. From incident command coordination to on-site operations, these trainings are critical to making large-scale events run smoothly.

We appreciate the strong partnerships and teamwork that make events like this possible. We’re ready. 🚒
