We are 1 hour from Dallas, 30 minutes to Waxahachie and 15 minutes to Corsicana, TX. With the population explosion and growth taking place in the big cities like Dallas, McKinney, Plano, Allen, etc, it's no wonder that some folks are starting to look for alternatives to the ordinary. People are finding that they can get a lot more house and land for their dollar, and a peace of mind and spirit that a small town and rural environment can afford. Market Row in downtown Blooming Grove is looking for its pitmaster.

I’ve got a fully refurbished pit smoker under a steel canopy, an endless supply of seasoned local oak, and a prime corner location across from City Hall. What I don’t have is the right person to run it.

Been working on something at the corner of Fordyce and 2nd, across from City Hall. Some of you have seen the fencing go up, the old fuel tank, the cotton trailer. It’s been coming together slowly and on purpose.

I’m calling it Market Row — an outdoor gathering space for downtown BG. The idea is simple. Food trucks, pop-up vendors, weekend markets, maybe live music eventually. A place with some real character where people want to show up.

Not a strip center. Not a franchise. Just a good corner lot with good bones.

I’m looking for people who want to be part of it. If you run a food truck and need a home base, if you’ve got a booth concept, if you make something and need a place to sell it — or if you’ve got an idea I haven’t thought of — I’d like to hear from you.
