Outdoor Warning Siren Test Today

Wednesday, April 1, 2026

Navarro County will conduct its monthly outdoor warning siren test at approximately 1:30 PM today, weather permitting, for the cities of Rice, Richland, Blooming Grove, Barry, Emhouse, and Kerens. The City of Corsicana will also be conducting their OWS test during this same time.

This monthly testing helps ensure the outdoor warning siren systems are working properly.

Remember: Outdoor warning sirens are designed for people outdoors, and you may not hear them indoors. Every home and business should have multiple ways to receive warnings, including a NOAA Weather Radio All-Hazards.

Public Notice - Statewide Test of Emergency Alert Systems on April 2,2026

Statewide Emergency Alert Test – April 2
Texas will conduct a statewide test of emergency alert systems on April 2 between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM.
 
You may receive a test alert on your phone and/or hear outdoor warning sirens depending on the systems used by your local jurisdiction and/or the jurisdiction you are in at the time of the test. Navarro County and the City of Corsicana will activate our Countywide Emergency Alert Notification System during this time.
 
Because multiple jurisdictions may participate, you could receive more than one test alert during the testing window.
 
This is only a test. No emergency action is required.
 
Testing helps ensure emergency alerts work when they are needed most.

3/9/2026 10:30 AM - The Burn Ban for Navarro County has been lifted by the Navarro County Commissioner’s Court. While fire conditions have eased and green up is ongoing, please continue to use caution with any outdoor burns.

🧹 Blooming Grove Bulk Pick-Up Reminder 🧹

Republic Services provides Bulk Pick-Up on the LAST FRIDAY of every month for Blooming Grove residents.

If you have large items like furniture, mattresses, or other bulky household items that won’t fit in your regular trash cart, this is your chance to get them picked up!

📅 When: Last Friday of each month
📞 Schedule: Call Republic Services at 903-874-8717
⏰ Important: Please schedule your pick-up at least 2 days in advance.

We have received multiple calls about the trash outside of the carts not being picked up. After contacting Republic, they informed us that an additional truck is being dispatched to pick up the trash that was not in a cart.
