Sept. 15 Bloomfield Farmer's Market Vendor List! 🍁

Stop by for some family fun on Tuesday, September 15, from 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm at 90 Broad St (Library Courtyard) and learn about our fall 2026 programming! Don't miss out on local vendors, 5pm library craft, honey jar raffles, and more! Market cash will be available for qualified residents.

Registration for our Dog Training Group Classes: Beginner's Obedience will open on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 10:00am via www.bloomfieldrecreation.org in CommunityPass under Cultural Affairs Fall 2026.

Teach your dog some manners!
6 week fun, reward based Beginner's Obedience classes. Held at Brookside Park in Bloomfield. Starting Sunday, Sept. 27th from 11am to 12pm. We cover commands like sit, down, stay, leave it plus deal with any problem behaviors like jumping, pulling on leash, barking, etc. For dogs 4 months and older. Small class, up to 10 people. Special lower rate of $150 for the sessions.

*Please note that upon registering, you will be automatically waitlisted and contacted by the instructor Lezle Stein to ensure your dog is a good fit for the class before paying the fee. Additional $10 out of town fee for non-residents.

Dogs MUST be on a leash. Dogs do not interact with one another.

Join Jeanne Thompson-McKenzie, a self-taught baker with over 30 years of experience, for a hands-on Cake Painting Workshop! Participants will learn how to paint fondant-covered Styrofoam cakes using edible royal icing paint, a technique that can also be used on real cakes. All materials will be provided!

Please join us on the Historic Town Green (84 Broad St., Bloomfield, NJ) tonight, September 11, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. for our September 11th Remembrance Ceremony.

2,977 luminary bags will line the sidewalks of the Historic Town Green in memory of the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

The ceremony begins at 6:00 p.m., and the luminaries will remain lit until 9:11 p.m. as we come together to remember, honor, and reflect.

All are welcome to join us for this meaningful evening of remembrance.

Fall Wednesday Mornings Child-Play Classes! (Children must be accompanied by an adult) $75

9:30 am - 10:15 am: WONDERNEST! *1.5 - 8 year olds
This Fall we will use the Tinkergarten 'Focus' curriculum, which is designed to help kids hone the symphony of skills we use to direct, shift and sustain our attention. Throughout the series, we’ll leverage the inherently captivating natural world to teach kids building blocks of focus: how to feel grounded in the moment; how to zoom in and zoom out; how to wonder; and how to follow our interests.

10:30 am - 11:15 am: WONDER BABIES! *6-18 months old
Using the Tinkergarten philosophy, this 6-week series will provide nature-based, sensory experiences for babies 6-18 months + their caregiver. This class is full of exploration, connection, and joy! Each week babies will have an opportunity to explore different natural materials and simple objects related to a theme.
Class topics include: Sound & Music, Peek-A-Boo Babies, Mud Babies, and more!

*Please note your child might get messy.. dress accordingly!

Kick off with a winning lineup - September 8th Bloomfield Farmer’s Market Vendor List! Wear your favorite football jersey and represent your team!! 🏈

Get ready to tackle your Tuesday with fresh finds, local vendors, and plenty of fun! 🏈 Stop by our market on Tuesday, Sept. 8th, from 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm at 90 Broad St (Library Courtyard). We will be joined by Glam Art Expressions (Face Painter) from 4-6 pm who will be offering free football themed stencils! Additionally, Nutty Scientists will be in attendance conducting live, hands-on science experiments for all!

Market cash will be available for qualified residents. Please note- there will be no Toni’s Kitchen sandwiches on 9/8.

Don’t sit on the sidelines..come out and score some fresh, local favorites!
