Celebrate National Get Outdoors Day in Bloomfield!
The Bloomfield Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs Department encourages all residents to participate in National Get Outdoors Day (GO Day) by visiting one of the many open spaces throughout our municipal park system.
Whether you're shooting hoops, playing catch, trying your luck at fishing, using outdoor exercise equipment, pushing a grandchild on a swing, or simply relaxing on a park bench, we encourage you to spend some time outdoors and enjoy all that Bloomfield's parks have to offer.
National Get Outdoors Day (GO Day) is celebrated annually on the second Saturday in June and is designed to encourage Americans to get outside, connect with nature, and lead active lifestyles. Coordinated by the U.S. Forest Service and the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable, the day often includes fee-free access to national forests and other public lands.
