Art making for me is a metaphor for the fusion and integration of divergent cultural forces that are constantly changing into new configurations, mixed realities and new identities. As I experiment and play with images, materials and techniques, and combine contrasting imagery and color, a work of art becomes a dance among powerful cultural energies that unify and harmonize into a dynamic and evolving image celebrating hybridity, diversity and change.
