Presented by the Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce, the festival will feature food trucks, b**r and w**e, live music, local vendors and activities for the community.

Today, the Town of Bloomfield joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honoring the first responders and families forever impacted by that day.

Twenty-five years later, we remember, we honor, and we will never forget.

🇺🇸 25 YEARS — WE WILL NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸

Today, the Bloomfield Center Fire Department joins our nation in solemn remembrance of the events of September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years have passed, but the courage, sacrifice, and unity displayed that day remain forever etched in our hearts. We remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost, including the 343 members of the FDNY, 37 Port Authority Police officers, 23 NYPD officers, and all of the first responders who answered the call without hesitation.

We also remember those who survived, the families who continue to carry the loss of their loved ones, and the countless first responders who later became ill or lost their lives because of their service at Ground Zero.

For those of us in the fire service, September 11th is a lasting reminder of what it means to answer the call—to serve others, regardless of the danger and regardless of the cost.

25 years later, we remember their names. We honor their sacrifice. We carry their legacy forward.

Crafters to Creators: Hobby to Hustle begins September 22, 2026, at Bloomfield Leisure Services, 330 Park Avenue. The seven-week course meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

The course is open to high school students and adults, including Bloomfield residents and non-residents. Participants will receive instruction in Canva design, pricing, marketing, branding, and business. A laptop or iPad is required. The course fee is $115.

The West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District will offer public flu vaccinations at two upcoming Bloomfield clinics.

The first clinic will be held during the Bloomfield Senior Expo on September 15, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A second clinic will take place on October 6, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Both clinics will be held at the Bloomfield Senior Center, 330 Park Avenue.

Vaccines are available for ages 4 and older. Participants should bring identification and insurance cards. Without insurance, the standard flu vaccine is $50, and the high-dose vaccine is $100.

Bloomfield Public Schools is participating in the Community Eligibility Provision for the 2026-2027 school year.

All students enrolled at CREC Museum Academy, Bloomfield High School, Carmen Arace Schools, Metacomet Elementary School, Laurel Elementary School, and Wintonbury Early Childhood Magnet School may receive breakfast and lunch at no charge. Household applications are not required to receive free meals.

After School Adventures provides Bloomfield youth in grades 3-5 with structured and unstructured activities, including team games and crafts. The program meets Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM.

Seven sessions are available throughout the school year. The first session runs from September 21 through October 23, 2026, with no program on October 12 or October 13. The cost is $200 per session.

The program is not held on school holidays or during inclement weather. Transportation is not provided.
