Scott County 4-H is excited to welcome Clara Riley, our new YPA (Youth Program Associate) for Scott County! Clara is from Sikeston and is a life-long resident of Scott County. Clara loves horses, cows, goats, and geese, and she looks forward to sharing her experiences and love for the animals with the youth of Scott County. As a new YPA, Clara is most excited to work with youth and get them more involved in their communities. Please give a shout out and help us welcome Clara!

Go Cards!! Stoddard County 4-H was represented well at 4-H Day with the Cardinals! It was a great day with a parade around the stadium, a military fighter jet flyover, bald eagles, a Cardinals win and lots of smiles all around! Ozzie Smith was even in the house!!

Attention all 4-H Youth showing Livestock!!

We are hosting an SMQA on May 15th at 6pm in the lower level of the Cape Girardeau County Extension Office. This is open to all of the Southeast Region.

The rules for SMQA state: anyone that is new to showing will need SMQA, anyone who did their first one last year will need one, and anyone that is 14 years old in 4-H years will need an SMQA. If you are not sure if you need SMQA ask your local 4-H staff or Alexis Link at the Cape County Extension Office.

All artwork that placed 1st through 3rd in the Stoddard County Youth Farm Animal Art Show have advanced to the Regional 4-H Youth Farm Art Show in Poplar Bluff, MO. The Artwork will be judged again at this level and awards will be displayed at the show and Ice Cream Social at the Margaret Harwell Museum on April 28th from 4-7 pm. All are invited to attend!

This year we had 287 pieces of artwork in the Stoddard County 4-H Youth Farm Animal Art Show! WOW! What a great show it was! Congratulations to all of this year's county winners! Don't forget, if you placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in this show, your art will be displayed and judged at the Regional Show in Poplar Bluff on April 28th at the The Margaret Harwell Art Museum. You are invited to an ice cream social on April 28th from 4-7 pm.

Artwork must be submitted to the MU Extension in Stoddard County office by April 3rd.
