According to studies by Ohio State University, children who are read to daily hear up to 1.4 million more words by age 5 than those who are never read to. Furthermore, children read to at least 3 times a week are almost twice as likely to score in the top 25% in reading.

Beyond the stats, children who are read to by people they love learn to love reading❤️

Happening at Eastern Branch - Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County Public Library Saturday June 13 from 11-12pm is our National Safety Month event. Special guests Terry Jackson and Trevor Yoho. Mr. Yoho will be bringing a firetruck from the Eastern Greene Fire Territory. Join us for this fun and informative event for all ages.

We support our community’s well-being at work, home, and on the road. Come and celebrate national safety month with us at this event on June 13th from 11am-12pm to learn from:

Mr. Trever Yoho, with our Eastern Greene Fire Territory. Trevor will be here with a firetruck and information on fire prevention.

Mr. Terry Jackson, our Greene County Emergency Management Agency - Indiana Director. Terry is going to host a table providing information and take home resources on disaster preparedness as well as assist attendees with signing up for Reverse 911 at the event.
