Last night at the Board of Trustees meeting, I made a motion to enact a 12-month moratorium on data centers being built in Bloomfield Township. We need to study this issue and make sure that our zoning ordinances and regulations are up to date so we protect ourselves against these disruptive developments. Families in Whoville can rest easy this morning. The Grinch has been arrested. Bloomfield Township police said they caught the green man dressed like Santa red-handed. He allegedly tried to swipe gift cards from the police department's charity drive at Kroger on W Maple Road.

What a remarkable achievement! Read more below…

That’s a wrap!! The last segment of water main was lowered into place Tuesday afternoon. The crew from Bidigare Contractors Inc pushed through snow and cold weather to finish installing nearly 14,000 feet of new water main in Vernor Estates roughly 6 months ahead of schedule. While other work remains for the project, the crew will largely focus on cleaning up for the season then come back in the spring to finish the project including pavement repairs, lawn restoration, and punch list items.
