Many residents have raised concerns about Amazon Prime Air delivery drones flying over homes in Bloomfield Township. The Bloomfield Township Police Department Community Relations Officer recently met with the Operations Manager from Amazon’s Prime Air program to discuss community feedback, including noise, flight paths, and frequency of drone activity.

We want to alert residents and businesses about a nationwide scam targeting communities like ours. Fraudsters are sending emails pretending to be from local planning and zoning departments, asking for payments related to land use or rezoning applications.
Watch for these red flags:

If you receive a suspicious message:

- Do not click links or open attachments

Suspect was successfully taken into custody. No reported injuries to any law enforcement personnel or the suspect.
