Meet Our Co-Emcees!

We’re thrilled to welcome Guy Gordon back to the Night Sky Gala! Guy has been a wonderful friend and supporter of Sky Foundation, and we’re excited to have him return to help guide us through this special evening.

This year, Guy will be joined by Sky Foundation Board President Shannon Crone as co-emcee. Shannon’s passion for Sky’s mission and personal commitment to the pancreatic cancer community make her the perfect addition to the stage.

Together, Guy and Shannon will help us celebrate the people, progress, and purpose behind Sky Foundation—and inspire us as we continue reaching toward a future without pancreatic cancer.

This past weekend, we remembered Brian Barczyk on what would have been his birthday, remembering a truly special person and the incredible impact he left behind.

Brian spent his life sharing his passion for reptiles and animals with the world. Through his enthusiasm, curiosity, and ability to make learning fun, he educated and inspired millions of people — and built a community that continues to carry his passion forward.

When Brian was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he chose to share that journey too. He brought millions of people into a very personal and difficult chapter of his life, and in doing so, brought an incredible amount of awareness to a disease that desperately needs it.

We were not fortunate to have met Brian, but we are fortunate to partner with Brian's wife, Lori Barczyk and his entire Reptarium family. We continue to be inspired by the way his family and the entire Reptarium and LegaSea community are carrying his vision forward.

Brian dreamed big, loved what he did, and made an impact that will continue for generations.

Happy Birthday, Brian. 💜 Your light is still shining — and your impact is still growing.

What a day for our 1st Annual Sky Golf Classic!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Oakhurst Golf & Country Club and helped make our inaugural outing such a memorable success — even a little rain couldn’t dampen the spirit of this incredible group!

We are so grateful to our golfers, sponsors, donors, volunteers, committee members and supporters who came together to Drive Toward a Cure for pancreatic cancer.

A Sky Full of Possibilities. 💜✨

The 2026 Night Sky Gala is officially here.

Join us on Thursday, October 8 at Saint John’s Resort for an inspiring evening bringing together survivors, families, physicians, researchers and supporters committed to accelerating progress in pancreatic cancer.

This year, we’re bringing leaders from across Michigan’s major health systems to the same stage for a featured conversation on awareness, prevention, early detection, surgical care, treatment and clinical trials — and what that progress means for patients today. We’ll also hear a powerful advocacy story from Dr. Laura Makaroff of the American Cancer Society.

The evening will also include the first look at the Sky Companion App, recognition of our 2026 funded researchers, the Shine Like Sheila Award, silent and live auctions, wine raffle and more.

BIG NEWS for pancreatic cancer patients. 💜

The FDA has approved daraxonrasib, a new treatment for previously treated metastatic pancreatic cancer.
In the Phase 3 trial, median overall survival was 13.2 months with daraxonrasib vs. 6.7 months with standard chemotherapy.

But this isn't only about more time. More time can mean more options—another treatment, an emerging targeted therapy, a clinical trial, or simply the opportunity for the next breakthrough to arrive.

For a disease where options have historically been far too limited, this is what progress looks like. 💜
