PROCLAMATION RECOGNIZING THE BLISSFIELD BOYS AND GIRLS TRACK & FIELD TEAMS FOR QUALIFYING FOR THE MITCA TEAM STATES AND THE INDIVIDUALS WHO QUALIFIED FOR THE MHSAA STATE FINALS

WHEREAS, the Blissfield Boys and Girls Track & Field Teams have demonstrated outstanding dedication, perseverance, sportsmanship, and athletic excellence throughout the 2026 season; and

WHEREAS, through countless hours of training, teamwork, and commitment, these student-athletes have represented Blissfield Community Schools and the Village of Blissfield with pride and distinction; and

WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the Blissfield Boys and Girls Track & Field Teams have earned them the opportunity to compete in the Michigan Interscholastic Track Coaches Association (MITCA) Team State Finals, a significant achievement that reflects the hard work and determination of the athletes, coaches, families, and supporters; and

WHEREAS, in addition to the team success, fourteen Blissfield student-athletes have qualified to compete in the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Individual State Finals, an exceptional accomplishment that showcases the depth of talent and commitment within the Blissfield Track & Field program; and

WHEREAS, these student-athletes serve as role models for their peers by demonstrating discipline, resilience, and a commitment to excellence both on and off the track; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Blissfield takes great pride in celebrating the achievements of its young people and recognizing those who bring honor and recognition to our community;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, that the Village Council of the Village of Blissfield hereby congratulates the Blissfield Boys and Girls Track & Field Teams on qualifying for the 2026 MHSAA State Finals and extends its best wishes for success in competition.

BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED, that the Village Council expresses its appreciation to the athletes, coaches, school staff, families, and supporters whose dedication and encouragement have contributed to this remarkable accomplishment.

Recognizing the Blissfield High School Robotics Team – The Flying Octopi #8373

The Village of Blissfield proudly recognizes the extraordinary accomplishments of the Blissfield High School Robotics Team, The Flying Octopi #8373.

PROCLAMATION TO RECOGNIZE THE BLISSFIELD HIGH SCHOOL ROBOTICS TEAM; THE FLYING OCTOPI #8373

WHEREAS, the Blissfield Robotics Team, known as “The Flying Octopi #8373,” has demonstrated exceptional dedication, innovation, and teamwork in the field of robotics and STEM education; and

WHEREAS, through countless hours of design, programming, testing, and collaboration, these students have exemplified perseverance, creativity, and problem-solving skills that reflect great credit upon themselves, their school, and the entire Blissfield community; and

WHEREAS, the Flying Octopi have achieved the remarkable accomplishment of qualifying for both the State and World Robotics Competitions during the 2026 season, placing them among the top teams in the region and beyond; and

WHEREAS, their outstanding performance is further demonstrated by their impressive rankings, including ** #224 out of 3,724 teams worldwide, #185 out of 2,944 teams in the United States, and #37 out of 530 teams in the State of Michigan**; and

WHEREAS, this achievement highlights not only the talent and hard work of the students, but also the commitment and guidance of their mentors, coaches, and supporters who have helped foster a culture of excellence and learning; and

WHEREAS, the success of the Flying Octopi serves as an inspiration to fellow students and residents alike, demonstrating the importance of STEM education and the opportunities it creates for future leaders and innovators;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village of Blissfield hereby congratulates the Blissfield Robotics Team – The Flying Octopi #8373 on their outstanding achievements and proudly recognizes their qualification for both the State and World competitions; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village extends its best wishes for continued success and commends the team for representing Blissfield with pride, excellence, and distinction.
