It is with heavy hearts we announce that one of our members, Greg Niedermeier has passed away this week. Greg was an active life member in our company, and was not only dedicated to being a firefighter but confident and resilient. His spirit and commitment will leave a large indelible mark on our company.

Happy Easter from the Woodlawn Volunteer Fire Company! 🐣

Yesterday we held our annual Easter egg hunt, 170 eggs were hidden with 3 golden egg winners awarded large chocolate bunnies!

Recently our members have attended various trainings, two of which being FAST as well as bailouts. FAST training, also known as rapid intervention, trains our members to be able to stabilize and rescue trapped crew members inside a burning structure. Bailout training shows our firefighters how to quickly exit a burning structure they are trapped in through the windows.

Our annual gun raffle is coming up quick! Tickets are a $20 donation to our company, which helps provide funds for supplies, equipment, future raffles and more. We appreciate all the support we have already received!

A huge thank you to our community! We are grateful to everyone who came out last night to support our company at the meat raffle. Your participation not only helps us fund essential equipment and trainings, but brings the community together!
