All,
As the general election approaches, I encourage you to familiarize yourselves with the candidates for Maidencreek township supervisor. I commend both candidates for refraining from engaging in a divisive smear campaign, as it is unnecessary for a position such as township supervisor. In reality, party affiliation should have minimal impact at the local level. The role of township supervisor requires a genuine desire to enhance the community, an understanding of financial constraints and implications, and a commitment to responsible stewardship. Ultimately, the goal is to serve as a prudent steward for a brighter future. While unforeseen challenges and legal requirements may arise, the fundamental responsibility of this position remains a commitment to the community at large. This role should not be pursued for personal gain or public recognition, but rather out of a sincere investment in the community's success.
I have spoken many times to both candidates in the past and have chosen to endorse Dawn Geschwindt. I want to also include that Gavin is aware of my endorsement, understands and respects my decision. I feel that the experience Dawn brings to the table as a 14 year Maidencreek business owner (she started her business in 1982 in our neighboring town of Fleetwood), her experience with our water authority board, and just her own drive to be successful provides skillsets needed to do this job and shows commitment to our Maidencreek community. Dawn stepped up to the plate when getting involved in the water authority, somthing she wasnt all that familiar with and has been doing a great job being a part of that board utilizing her years of experience and her skillset. So please take the time to get to know the candidates, no matter what party affiliation, and ask yourself what’s most important to you. But most importantly… get out and vote in November!
