Good morning y’all!
Here’s the first of probably many articles to come, about the quarry on the Kruckemeyer ranch. A great turnout of concerned citizens…local citizens, concerned neighbors, county conservation organizations, Blanco City officials, Blanco County Historical Commission chair, as well as the contractor and others. Blanco County News yesterday’s edition.
Spread the word...Speak out!!!
Great news regarding the gravesite…Jo Nell Haas (Blanco County Historical Commission chair) reports the grave is on a separate parcel of land and is safe.
Pictures of the ranch house and a few of the out buildings were taken by Ms Haas. Untouched and preserved just as they stood. Captured in time and preserved in our Blanco history!

Part 2 Kruckemeyer Family…a rock quarry is on the land and all is in jeopardy!
A quarry has been approved to begin operations right in the heart of this historic location … on all the land (original home, outbuildings and grave).
More to come on what’s happening, but the importance of this site is beyond words! A YouTube video has just been released about Mr. Kruckemeyer’s grave 1871.

This story truly tells the story of what our early pioneering families endured as they settled this wild land to begin a new life. The original farm and out buildings still stand!! Part 1 Kruckemeyer Family.

WWII Texas Hill Country young man finally comes home! The family and friends invite everyone to his Texas home coming!

A Brushy Top resident said, “It really is a remarkable story…I have been in direct contact with the family and they really want to see a big turnout from the community.
Please consider attending Saturday April 18 11am for the burial with full military honors at Round Mountain Cemetery for US Army Staff Sergeant Dayton Polvado who died in battle in Germany during World War II. His remains were just recently identified through DNA testing.”
