School has started back up for a new year, which means those big yellow buses are back on the road—and it’s time for all of us to slow down and pay attention!

🚨 Ohio law requires drivers to STOP when a school bus is stopped with its red lights flashing and stop arm extended. This applies to traffic approaching the bus from either direction, with limited exceptions for divided roadways (none of those in town).

❌ Don’t try to beat the bus.
❌ Don’t pass a stopped school bus.
👀 Watch for children crossing the roadway.
🛑 When the red lights are flashing, STOP!

A few extra seconds of patience can make sure everyone gets home safely.

Let’s work together to keep our students, bus drivers, and everyone on the road safe this school year! 💙 🐾 📚

🎸🐾 Ever wonder what Vido's walk-up song would be? We've been seeing the "trend" in our social media feed, but honestly there's only one officer we want to know this about 🤣

We asked Vido what song he’d want playing when he walks in. Without hesitation: “Back in Black” by AC/DC. 🖤🎸 We have to say, he has fantastic taste in music, probably thanks to Sgt. Petrey 🤷🏻‍♂️

Anyway, we decided to get cute and sneak in a little something special instead 🤣

But I think we can all agree that Paw Patrol is best suited for his play time off work 🤣

Thanks to this post being shared, we were contacted about Mr. Vogel and have confirmed his location and that he is safe.

Our department is asking for the community’s help with locating 85 year-old Daniel Vogel, who has been reported missing. Daniel was last seen on August 17, 2026, at his home in Blanchester. At this time, we have no information on any vehicles he may be in. It is also possible that he got a ride with a passerby, although any possible destinations are not known at this time.

If you have seen Daniel, or have any information about his whereabouts, please contact dispatch at 937-382-1611.

Please share this post to help us reach as many people as possible. Any information, no matter how small, could help bring him home safely.

A 26-year-old Amelia man, Jonathan T. Hall, was sentenced to life in prison, with the possibility of parole after 10 years, at a sentencing hearing held on August 11, 2026 in the Clinton County Common Pleas Court. Hall entered a plea of guilty to one count of R**e, a felony of the first degree. Should Hall be released after serving the minimum of 10 years, he will be required to register as a Tier III s*x offender, the most serious category under the SORN (S*x Offender Registration and Notification) laws. In addition to this, if released, he will be placed on parole supervision for the remainder of his natural life.

Hall was indicted by a grand jury in the Clinton County Common Pleas Court in April on four counts of r**e, all felonies of the first degree. The indictment came after an investigation was opened in January of this year when a report was made to our department. The report was for a s*x offense, with the victim being under the age of 10 years old.

We would like to thank the agencies that assisted in this investigation: Clinton County Children Services, Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, and the Cincinnati Police Department Major Offender Unit. Their collaboration was instrumental to getting closure in this case. We would also like to thank the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office for their swift action in this case, pursuing justice for the victim, and holding Hall accountable for his actions.
