Thank you to everyone who came out for pancakes a week ago! We hope you enjoyed the food and camaraderie - we definitely enjoyed serving the community in a low emergency setting.

02/23/2026: Fire in basement; Argyle FD was called for mutual aid; upon investigation, source of smoke was discovered and managed

The construction signs outside of town are a little confusing - there is access to Blanchardville (not just today, but throughout the road work period).

January 2026 was busy for the Blanchardville Fire Department - we responded to 8 calls. That is a little more than one every four days!

Call details below:

01/02/2026: Fire alarm
01/02/2026: One vehicle roll over with entrapment; BFD/EMS was assisted by the Argyle Fire Department and Monroe 800; Med Flight was requested
01/11/2026: Assist EMS
01/13/2026: Assist EMS
01/15/2026: Smell of smoke in building; upon investigation, a small fire was discovered and immediately put out
01/18/2026: One vehicle accident
01/19/2026: Machine shed fire; BFD/EMS was assisted by Argyle FD, Barneveld FD, Darlington FD, Dodgeville FD; Hollandale FD, Mineral Point FD, and Ridgeway FD
01/22/2026: House fire; everyone was evacuated and the fire was extinguished; BFD/EMS was assisted by Hollandale FD and New Glarus FD
