Hall Drug Company owner and property owner of 90 Court Square, Edward Reynolds, was awarded a historic preservation plaque for the strong commitment to local historic preservation efforts.
The two-story building located at 90 Court Square is another of Blakelyโs most recognizable historic structures. Built in 1903, the property has served the community as the home of various businesses, which included Fryer's Livery Stable, the original location of the First State Bank of Blakely, Felder Ford and the Blakely Chevrolet Co. (Collections of Early County Historical Society 2002, Volume III)
The building now houses Hall Drug Company, a pharmacy and gift shop, and the Law Office of Amos Sheffield.
This is the HPCโs inaugural year introducing the Historic Preservation Recognition plaques, a program generously funded by First State Bank of Blakely. The purpose of the program is to recognize locally-designated historic properties for their commitment and investment in preservation efforts.
