Today on International Firefighters’ Day, we want to give a heartfelt thank you to the Blairstown Fire Department and all surrounding departments that serve the Benton County community.

As a volunteer department, these individuals give their time selflessly to protect and serve others. They are always ready to drop everything when a call comes in—no matter the time or circumstances—putting their own lives at risk to keep our community safe.

We are grateful for your dedication, courage, and commitment. Thank you for all that you do.

What is it? A red flag warning is when warm temperatures, low humidity, and strong wings come together to the highest risk of fire danger.

How can you help? Avoid activities that could spark out of control fires such as burning. Be alert & aware to the conditions and be prepared to dial 911 if a fire is out of control.

Fires have a good chance to spread out of control on Saturday.

As begins today remember to adjust your clocks and check your smoke alarm batteries—only if needed.
