The District grade level configuration includes three Primary Centers, located at North, South, and Deerfield Elementary Schools (grades PK-3), opened in the fall, 2008, an Intermediate Center at Arbor Park (grades 4-5) opened in the fall of 1990, Gerald Otte Blair Middle School (grades 6-8) opened in the fall of 1997 and Blair High School (grades 9-12), opened in fall of 1970. A full range of aca
demic and activity programs ensure that the young people of the Blair Community School District are given every opportunity to explore their potential. Additional courses are offered in fine arts, physical education, health, career and technical education, and computer education. Our district has placed an emphasis on technology integration in the curriculum and has provided the resources to make this goal possible. Each classroom is connected to our extensive network, the entire District houses wireless internet connections and each school has access to computer labs,smart boards, interactive response devices and laptop computers for student and staff use. A full range of special services are offered for students in need of these programs. Over 60 separate clubs, organizations, activities, and athletic teams are part of the strong co-curricular program in the Blair School system. Blair Community Schools offers a comprehensive program for all students. Working together with community leaders and parents “a promise of quality” is something that continues to be a hallmark of the Blair Community Schools.
