Blades Volunteer Fire Company is proud to continue moving forward with two highly cost-effective programs made possible with the assistance of Sussex County Government: our ambulance replacement program and the county ambulance billing program.
We are extremely grateful to Sussex County Government for recognizing the importance of supporting our fire and EMS organizations and for helping us find responsible, sustainable ways to maintain and improve the services we provide to our community.
As we move forward with county ambulance billing, there are still some contractual items that need to be worked through. However, we want to make one thing absolutely clear:
Our commitment to you and our community will not change.

This transition also comes with some mixed emotions. We are happy and excited about what lies ahead, but also saddened to say goodbye to our current billing company, who has been an instrumental part of our success for more than 20 years.
For over two decades, they have worked alongside Blades Volunteer Fire Company and played an important role in helping us provide and sustain the services our community depends on. We cannot thank them enough for their dedication, professionalism, and partnership throughout the years.
While they are moving on to their next chapter, we want them to know how truly grateful we are for everything they have done for Blades Volunteer Fire Company. Their contributions will always be a valued part of our history and success.
As we begin this next chapter, we are excited about the opportunities ahead and remain committed to doing what is best for our organization and the community we proudly serve.
