Today, we gathered at Bladensburg Memorial Grove Park to commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11 and honor the lives lost in the terrorist attacks against our nation.

Located among other memorials, the Bladensburg 9/11 Memorial Walk is dedicated to the 25 Prince George’s County residents who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Dedicated in 2006, the memorial features a brick pathway, contemplative benches, and 25 white crepe myrtle trees, each representing a life lost.

Etched into the gray granite is a message that continues to resonate 25 years later:
“Prince George’s County honors those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. We will always remember them.”

Today, and always, we remember.

Thank you to all of our amazing seniors who came out for Senior Gathering: Disco on the Dock! We danced, sang, enjoyed boat rides, and ate good food as we closed out the summer season in style!
