As we close out National Police Week, we want to take a moment to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their communities, as well as the families and friends who continue to serve as the support system officers rely on every day.

To the families who have lost their loved ones in the line of duty, please know you are never alone. You have a law enforcement family standing beside you today and always.

To the officers who continue to protect and serve their communities, thank you for your sacrifice, hard work, and unwavering dedication. Your service does not go unnoticed.

We also want to thank The Bladensburg Police Department Ceremonial Honor Guard for their dedication and the time they spent honoring fallen officers and their families throughout this week.

This week, our officers attended the Maryland Fallen Heroes Memorial and had the privilege of escorting families as they arrived at the airport. They also participated in the Honor Guard Cordon, the Candlelight Vigil, and stood watch for the fallen officers who will never be forgotten.

Lastly, to our incredible Bladensburg Police officers, thank you for all you do for our town, our residents, and for one another each and every day. We are proud to stand beside you. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ–ค
