Mayor Dickens has postponed tonight's meeting, due to the severe weather warnings for our area. Note this meeting is being rescheduled to Monday, March 23, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.

Due to the severe weather warnings, the Town Office, along with DMV will be closing today, Monday, March 16, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.

Please be advised Town staff will be making a sewer connection in Dinwiddie Avenue tomorrow, Thursday, March 5, 2026. This will be on Dinwiddie Avenue from Epes Street to the Town limits. Please be prepared for delays if traveling this route tomorrow, as the work may take all day.

Please be advised the Town will have a technician here on Monday, March 2, 2026 to perform a system shut down. This will require all Town functions and the DMV to close at 4:00 p.m.

All functions of the Town will resume on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 8:00 a.m.

The Town of Blackstone will begin removing flowers, decorations, and other personal items from Lakeview Cemetery on March 2, 2026 through March 6, 2026, as part of the annual clean-up. Please note all items are subject to removal. After which time, items you removed for the clean-up may be returned to the Cemetery, and placed only in accord with the Town of Blackstone’s Cemetery Policy. A copy of the Town’s Cemetery Policy is available from the Blackstone Town Manager’s office, 100 W. Elm Street, on our website at townofblackstoneva.com, at [email protected] or (434) 292-7251.

Please be advised the Town Office along with DMV will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026 in observance of George Washington Day. Our offices will reopen on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 8:00 a.m.
