SNOW REMOVAL
We are part of the City of Columbus, and so the city is primarily responsible for clearing our streets. As in years past, the HOA is supplementing the city's removal by contracting with Rocky Fork. Per our contract, we are one of the communities that Rocky Fork will automatically plow and drop salt when accumulations reach 3". Does this mean that we will see RF plows out here as soon as there is 3" of snow on our streets? Unfortunately, no. We are prioritized above those who have a trigger depth that is greater than 3", and above those who call in for snow removal, but we are behind areas who have chosen a trigger depth of less than 3". At the beginning of the winter season, the Board determined that using a trigger depth of 3" is the best option to control costs, while still keeping our roads safe.
Again - ultimately, the City of Columbus is responsible for keeping our roads clear, and Rocky Fork is supplemental. All issues related to the conditions of our roads should be reported to the City of Columbus by calling (614) 645-3111, or logging in athttps://311.columbus.gov/.
One last note on snow removal: Please park your car in the driveway, rather than on the street, to allow the most efficient clearing of our roads.
CALL FOR NOMINEES
Our annual meeting and election of Trustees is approaching. There will be at least one vacancy on the Board, as Edward Morrisey does not plan to run again.
In addition to the Trustee positions, the HOA has a number of officer positions and committees to fill. With the exception of President, who must be a Trustee, any member of the HOA may serve as an officer or on a committee. Officer positions available include Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and three Members-at-Large. Our standing committees are the Design Review Board, the Landscaping Committee, and the Community Outreach Committee.
If you are interested in running as a Trustee, or would like to serve as an officer, on a committee, or would like more information, please contact the Trustees [email protected].
ANNUAL MEETING
Our Annual Meeting will be scheduled for an evening in March. The date is still to be determined, as the Board is awaiting information from Omni that we would like to review prior to the meeting. At the annual meeting, the current Board of Trustees will provide a review of the last year, Omni will give an update, and we will elect our Board of Trustees for the coming year. The Annual Meeting is also an opportunity to discuss topics important to our community. If you have items you would like to add to the agenda, please contact [email protected].
That's all for now. Stay warm!
