The Eastern Idaho State Fair is here, and the EISF Parade kicks off Saturday, September 5th at 10:00 AM!

We remind all residents along Shilling Street, S Fisher, and Rich Street to remove their vehicles from these city streets no later than 6:00 AM that morning to ensure a smooth, safe parade route.

Flyers have been distributed throughout the area to help notify residents of these temporary parking restrictions.

🚧 Traffic Advisory – Hwy 91 near Eastern Idaho State Fair 🚧

Drivers traveling on Hwy 91 near the Eastern Idaho State Fair should be aware of increased traffic and safety measures in place:

🛑 Speed radar trailers are positioned for both northbound and southbound traffic entering the fairgrounds area.

📢 Electronic message boards are active, warning of heavy pedestrian foot traffic.

⚠️ Speed limit is reduced to 20 MPH throughout the fair zone.

🏘️ The surrounding area is primarily residential, with high volumes of both vehicles and pedestrians

Thanks to our D55 SRO Steve Scott, in collaboration with Spudnik & Norco, for securing 5 AED’s for our elementary schools that did not have them. A huge thank you to AutoZone for generously donating NOCO battery jump starters to our department!

Our officers frequently encounter motorists with dead batteries, and these jump packs allow us to safely get them back on the road without connecting traditional jumper cables to our patrol vehicles, which can potentially damage sensitive electronics and equipment. These jump packs give our officers another safe and reliable way to help those we serve.

We greatly appreciate AutoZone’s support of our department and our community!

Thank you for the beautiful handmade quilts that the Blackfoot Piecemakers Quilt Club donated to the Shelley Police Department, Blackfoot Police Department and the Bingham County Sheriff's Office to be used for victims of crime.
These beautiful quilts are made with kindness and love and we can’t thank this organization enough for their generous donation.
