🚧 Traffic Advisory – Hwy 91 near Eastern Idaho State Fair 🚧

Drivers traveling on Hwy 91 near the Eastern Idaho State Fair should be aware of increased traffic and safety measures in place:

🛑 Speed radar trailers are positioned for both northbound and southbound traffic entering the fairgrounds area.

📢 Electronic message boards are active, warning of heavy pedestrian foot traffic.

⚠️ Speed limit is reduced to 20 MPH throughout the fair zone.

🏘️ The surrounding area is primarily residential, with high volumes of both vehicles and pedestrians

FYI for anyone interested in applying for the firefighter/EMT position posted on the City’s website, www.cityofblackfoot.org!

This could be you!🫵
The testing deadline has been extended to August 27th at 11:59 p.m. All applicants interested in the firefighter position must apply and take the Public Safety Testing exam before this cutoff. Along with more in home exams becoming available, there is still the option to take the test at an authorized testing center if you are unable to find another opening. Interviews will be the 1st and 2nd of September, with an academy start date of mid October, exact date TBD.
