🚒 🤝 🚓 One Team. One Climb. One Mission to Remember.

Tomorrow, members of the Black Hawk Police Department will join our partners at the Black Hawk Fire Department for the annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.

Together, they’ll climb in honor of the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

We’re proud to climb alongside our fellow first responders as we remember those who answered the call – and never came home.

Never Forget.

“Never Forget” is more than a phrase. It is a responsibility.

It means continuing to tell their stories when years become decades. It means speaking their names. It means remembering the courage shown on September 11, 2001, and honoring the lives behind the photographs.

On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we will gather in Black Hawk to keep that promise.

Remembering the fallen also means standing beside the families they left behind.

Proceeds from the Black Hawk 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb support the National Fallen
Firefighters Foundation and its work serving the families of fallen firefighters.

year's event directly support NFFF programs.

We tripled up on tradition at the August 26 City Council meeting as three of our newest team members took their turn at the bell:

Happy National Dog Day from some of Black Hawk’s OG pups. 🐾

Long before dogs had Instagram accounts, they were already stealing the spotlight in Black Hawk.

From hanging with the Black Hawk Fire Department, to keeping an eye on the horses at the Livery & Feed Stable, to patiently waiting for their humans at the Post Office, these four-legged locals found their way into Black Hawk history. 🐕📸
