As we continue preparing for the summer season and working together to reduce wildfire risk in our mountain communities, we wanted to share an important update from our partners at Xcel Energy. Vegetation management plays a critical role in protecting our power infrastructure, helping prevent outages, safeguarding water supplies, and reducing the risk of wildfire.

🚧 Attention Idaho Springs, Black Hawk and Central City Neighbors! 🚧
Xcel Energy contract crews will be performing important vegetation management work in Idaho Springs, Black Hawk and Central City during June to maintain safe and reliable service within your community, protect water supplies, and reduce wildfire risk. Work will take place in these communities and surrounding mountain areas throughout the month and into July.
Crews will be clearing brush, trimming trees, and removing hazard trees around power lines. Please be considerate and mindful of their efforts as they work to keep everything running smoothly.
