Black Earth hosted a Coffee with a Cop for the month of March. Guest speaker was Brooks Martin a Securities Examiner for the
Bureau of Enforcement, Division of Securities-Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions. Brooks talked about financial crimes, cryptocurrency, identity fraud, and several other related topics. He was very informative and knowledgeable. Thank you Brooks we enjoyed your presentation!

Today at around 1 PM a contractor was unloading a work truck on the 1300 block of Blue Mounds Street. As he was making trips back-and-forth to the worksite, a space heater like the one pictured below was taken from the ground next to the truck. We kicked off our Spring Break Recreation activities with an intergenerational bingo event. Thank you to the Northwest Dane Senior Center for partnering with us. We had a great time with a ton of wonderful prizes for both adults and children.  Today we have a FREE bowling event at Black Earth Lanes from 12:30 to 2 PM. Hope to see you there!

The Village of Black Earth hosted Coffee With a Cop for the month of February. Our guest speakers were the owners of Precision Towing, Sam and Mark Mecum. Sam and Mark also brought their brand new heavy tow truck for our residents to see close up. They provided an amazing presentation and we are lucky to have them serving our Community.

The Village of Black Earth held its monthly Coffee With A Cop for the month of January. I want to thank Todd Wuerger the Executive Director of The Sauk Prairie Healthcare Foundation for coming and presenting. Todd updated us on the wonderful work that the Sauk Prairie Hospital and Foundation are doing. Coffee with a Cop is the second Thursday of every month from 9 AM until 11 AM at 1210 Mills St. for anyone who wishes to attend. I hope to see you there!

Today was our monthly Coffee With A Cop for the month of December. We were very fortunate to have representatives from District One EMS come to speak to us. They talked about file of life, stroke awareness, and answered general questions for the 15 local participants. Thank you, District One EMS for your time and expertise! We are lucky to have such great people serving our Community.

It's time to celebrate! Come and join us at the Black Earth Municipal Building to celebrate Detective Michelle Viney's retirement. We were lucky to have her serve the community as a Black Earth Contract Deputy, and she chose to have this ceremony in Black Earth to celebrate with the amazing residents she loves. Refreshments and cake will be available. The ceremony starts on Friday 11/21/25 at 1pm, with the presentation of a plaque and retirement badge at 1:30. It ends at 3.

Our November Coffee with a Cop was a huge success thanks to owner John Soppe from Six Chips Catering. John talked about the menu that is currently being offered as a takeout option only at this time.
