Vision Zero ND

Vision Zero ND VISION ZERO. Zero fatalities. Zero excuses. The mission is to eliminate fatalities and serious injuries caused by motor vehicle crashes.

The Vision Zero strategy aims to establish a culture of personal responsibility where motor vehicle fatalities and serious injuries are recognized as preventable and not tolerated. Every driver and vehicle occupant in North Dakota can help meet the Vision Zero goal by taking personal responsibility when traveling on the road. This means wearing a seat belt at all times, transporting children in child passenger safety seats appropriate for the child’s age, weight and height, driving distraction-free, driving sober (i.e. not under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs), and obeying all posted speed limits. This week, we celebrate the professional drivers who keep North Dakota moving.

Give trucks extra space:
🚛 Don't cut them off.
🚛 Stay out of blind spots.
🚛 Pass safely and completely.

A little patience goes a long way.

“OH DEER!” They're moving. 🦌

As mornings get darker and evenings arrive earlier, deer activity increases.

If you spot one deer, expect more nearby.

Stay alert, especially during dawn and dusk.

Throwback Thursday to Northern Cass School creating their intersection safety PSAs! 🎥

The Jaguars want to remind you that even if you’ve driven a road thousands of times, it’s important to come to a full stop and look in every direction before proceeding. The one time you don’t could be the one time that changes everything!

A special thank you to the Cass County Sheriff's Office for helping with this project!
