Today, we had the privilege of recognizing several outstanding members of the Bismarck Police Department during our annual employee awards ceremony. We are proud to honor the dedication, professionalism, and commitment these individuals demonstrate in service to our department and the Bismarck community each day.

Bismarck Police Department Investigating Fatal Crash on Main Ave

Bismarck, ND โ€“ The Bismarck Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred at approximately 9:14 p.m. yesterday at the intersection of Main Avenue and West Rosser Avenue.

A Kawasaki motorcycle driven by 19-year-old Kallen Omen of Sheyenne, ND, was traveling westbound on Main Avenue when it struck the rear passenger side of a Ford pickup driven by 19-year-old Braxton Dollinger of Bismarck.

Dollinger was proceeding northeast from Main Avenue onto Rosser Avenue after leaving a stopped position.

Omen was pronounced dead at the scene. Bismarck Police traffic officers responded to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

At this time, no determination has been made regarding whether any traffic violations occurred. The investigation remains active as traffic investigators continue to follow up on evidentiary leads.
