ND State Surplus Property We reutilize, recycle & redistribute federal & state surplus property to save taxpayer money.

Since the 1970s, North Dakota Surplus Property has been redistributing surplus federal and state government equipment to eligible North Dakota government entities and the public. Our program helps North Dakota government entities acquire property they need, such as construction equipment, office furniture, and medical supplies, to best serve the members in their communities. In 2010, ND Surplus Property began our electronic waste (e-waste) recycling program, in which we help state agencies, political subdivisions, and public schools, colleges, and universities, recycle their e-waste in a safe, responsible, and economic manner. In addition to the e-waste recycling program, ND Surplus Property also began our ExchangeND program in which we accept computer components free of charge so that North Dakota schools may purchase them at minimal cost. Every year, we sell an estimated 1,500 computers to North Dakota schools. The components we accept for free are CPUs, laptops, keyboards, mice, flat panel monitors, cell phones, and accessories.

Firewood must be picked up at 1800 48th Ave. SW, Bismarck, ND 58504.
Pick up times preferred: Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Appointments should be made for any pickups or larger truck access.
For public pickup, a roll-off container will be placed along the section line east of the front gates.
For larger vehicles requiring additional access, a gate located north of the roll-off container will be utilized.
