Today marks the 1 year anniversary of the September 14th, 2025 tornado outbreak. Throughout the afternoon and evening, 20 tornadoes were observed as low-topped supercells moved northward across central North Dakota. These storms also produced heavy rainfall, with totals running as high as 3 inches over the course of a few hours.
