A Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) is a child-focused, community-oriented, safe facility in which members of a multidisciplinary team (MDT), including child protection, social services, law enforcement, prosecution, victim advoc

Investing in these professionals means investing in kids and families like the 3,012 served by ND Children's Advocacy Centers last year.

That is exactly why we brought together 25 Forensic Interviewers and Family Advocates from across North Dakota for our Advanced Training on June 3-4 in Bismarck. Great training, great people, and yes - we made time for a little fun too. 🌟

Huge thank you to our incredible presenters

Representative Jim Jonas recently visited the Red River Children's Advocacy Center for a firsthand look at the work happening there for kids across our region.

When state leaders walk through these doors, they don't just learn about our work. They see the places where children find safety and a path toward healing, and they get to meet the dedicated staff who show up for those kids every day.

Thank you, Rep. Jonas, for making the time. And thanks to Sarah Mathews and the team at Red River Children's Advocacy Center for the great tour!

Hard but important conversations happening at the Capitol!

CACND was there last week alongside law enforcement and fellow advocates, testifying on AI-generated child sexual abuse material.

Full story from the North Dakota Monitor below. πŸ‘‡πŸΌ

A member of the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation told state lawmakers Wednesday the agency needs more tools to address a rise in child sexual exploitation involving images generated by artificial intelligence.

Words matter, especially when the story involves a child.

CACND and the North Dakota Domestic & Sexual Violence Coalition recently presented our Domestic & Sexual Violence Language Guide at the 2026 North Dakota Newspaper Association & NDNA Education Foundation Convention in Bismarck.

Great conversations with editors from across the state who are committed to covering these stories with care!

If you write, publish, or just want to think more carefully about how these topics get covered, the guide is free and worth a look.

πŸ”΄ Why do some stories make headlines... and others don't?

Join us May 18th at noon CT for a FREE webinar where we'll dig into exactly that - and what it means for the dozens of missing and murdered Indigenous people right here in North Dakota.

It's FREE. It's important. And it starts with that question.
